.appimage not working

I am trying to open the .appimage for RPCS3 (an open source PS3 emulator) and it does not open even after setting it to an executable in the properties. I really don't wanna do terminal commands to launch this as I never had a problem with the past two distros I've used (elementary os, and linux mint), and I know there is a way to get it working. I've been using linux for almost 4 months now and problems like this really make me want to go back to windows. :evil: My specs are attached for help.

RPCS3 is still in its early stages of development and the binaries we produce are highly experimental.
I could not make it work within a reasonble time :(

error "This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb"

prehaps the RPCS3 Open-source Sony PlayStation 3 Emulator forum can help you out
