High DPI (4K monitor 3840x2160)

I installed Zorin OS last night and it's pretty slick, but there doesn't seem to be a way to set it for my high DPI 4K monitor. And no, changing the font sizes only makes really large fonts with still tiny controls and it looks awful that way.

For example, on Linux Mint, I go to Start->Preferences->Appearance->Fonts->Details. There's a DPI setting. I change it and it changes not just fonts, but all controls. Everything looks good.

I can only find a way to change fonts on Zorin: Start->Settings->Zorin Appearance->Fonts. There, I can change the fonts for 4 different things, but no matter how big I make them, the controls are still tiny.

Also, search doesn't appear to be working in this forum.

You have to remember that there are fundamental differences to Mint and Zorin - Mint (and yes I am aware that it comes in different flavourse - mate, xfce) but it's default offering is Cinnamon DE which for accessibility purposes is inferior to the Gnome Shell that Zorin uses. You could try these gnome shell extensions but I can't get the dpi one to work, I get an error message - perhaps because I only have one monitor:

You will need to install 'gnome-tweak-tools' first and then add the gnome-shell-extension to firefox to install useful extenstions - and for this reason, avoid Zorin Desktop on Wayland - I am no fan of Wayland not least of which you cannot run Synaptic Package Manager in it.

I don't know if installing 'budgie' may solve the issue?

In particular my posting of 21 Dec 2017 - it might give you a way forward - search online for your modeline, something like "3840x2160_60" (if your monitor is 60 Hz) - and away you go.
