Printer install Problem - Cannon MX 920 series

Tried to install my printer (Canon PIXMA-MX922). It is "seen" during setup, installs, but errors out on printing test page. All I get is a page with ZORIN logo in blue, and the words "printer test page". No error code info. Don't even know where to start re:troubleshooting.
Also, their does not appear to be a way to delete failed job from the print queue??
Any ideas?

Hi

Canon has a bad reputation in not offering drivers for linux.
can you read undernoted and give it a try.
Code:

success :)

Canon printers do work with Zorin 12 - I have the Pixma TS8050.

The bigger problem has been the little drive cog coming detached from the paper roller (now glued on). This is a known problem with free repair offered in the US - no such luck in the UK.

I put the Canon Remote UI as a browser favourite as well as the CUPS 2.1.3 printer server.
Then you can delete print queues and see what is happening to your heart's content.

Good luck

My Canon printer works better with linux than with our i-pad pro.

The drivers are also available from UK site - they are universal in that they download the Linux drivers for both 32-bit and 64-bit - you need the debian packages:

https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consume ... %20(64-bit)

so you will need to scroll down the page - then install the correct driver from the driver folder - look for the .deb - I have a TS8151 and no issues. ;) :D
