USB reconfigure

this is my first linux. what I'm looking to do is reconfigure my USB so it will talk to BLHelisuite, and Bets Flight for quadcopters and they work on a widows system. I found a few tutorials on YouTube but this version of linux does'nt like the commands. would anyone know how to do this?
