Anyone had any issue where slowness (10sec) to go to Desktop after login password entered?

I have not timed it as such, but on my Zorin15 Core setup, it does take a few seconds between entering password and the desktop appearing. I feel it may have been quicker on 12.4 Core, but that is now in the past.

Edit: Just put stopwatch on it. Yes just under 10seconds between login<CR> and desktop being displayed.

Same for me, about 10 seconds. I'm assuming that's just the way it is. Zorin is up and running for me in about the average amount of time. Some distros are faster, some slower. I don't consider it a problem. Maybe because i'm retired.

In my case the time depends on if some other program is using up resources. With nothing additionally running, the return to desktop is almost instantaneous. You could check System Monitor to see what's going on.

Check your startup applications and remove what is not needed. Startup sound has only ever worked about twice for me. If you don't have Bluetooth then remove that. I seem to remember that most GNU/Linux distributions are geared towards Notebook users as opposed to Desktop users. ;) :D
