Is there anyway to install and run the Windows software included on the MSI CD for my motherboard {MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC with Ryzen 7 2700x) under Wine or by some other means.

I don't think that would work out too well.
The MSI CD consists of the drivers needed to adapt the board to the operating system. MicroStar is exclusive to Microsoft Windows.
Some of what is included appears to be some GUI controls for fan speed, etc.

That being said... You should be able to install Ubuntu 18.04 (or Zorin 15) on the MSI MB and keep on rockin.'
The Linux Install will include the needed drivers.
You can install lm senseors and xsensors and so on on your Linux Distro and use "Fan Control" as well.

I don't know about MSI BIOS but on All the Asus rigs (both Intel and AMD) have fan control settings in the BIOS. I got really annoyed with an MSI forum fanboi who when I posted about a USB issue was told there are no USB issues for the board in question!
Follow Aravisian's advice and you will be fine.
