Zorin 12 to 15 in-place upgrade

According to https://news.softpedia.com/news/zorin-os-15-linux-distro-officially-released-based-on-ubuntu-18-04-2-lts-526309.shtml:

Zorin OS 12 users can now upgrade their installations to Zorin OS 15 without reinstalling.

I'm having trouble finding the procedure to perform the non-destructive/in-place upgrade. The instructions at https://zorinos.com/help/upgrade-zorin-os/ erases the existing installation.

I checked a fresh install of Zorin 15 and /etc/apt/sources.list and I don't see a PPA for customization, so I can't simply:

Code:
sed -i 's/xenial/bionic/g' /etc/apt/sources.list

How does one perform the in-place upgrade from Zorin 12 to Zorin 15?

OK this is why Zorin instructions state that you should backup your data before proceeding. If you installed Zorin 12 using the "something else" option and created a separate /home folder then your data will be secure. All you then need to do is run the installer and follow the instructions I posted here:
