How can we install Gnome 3 directly on Zorin 5 without unity

is there any way we can upgrade the classic version to gnome 3 with installing unity ?

Installing Gnome3 on zorin 5 , testing it now. Will post the result once done.

As long as you have removed Gnome 2 and installed the complete package requirements for Gnome 3 it should work, that said, you won't have Zorin OS anymore because Zorin 5 was built on Gnome 2!!!.

You could simply install Ubuntu 11.10 or wait for the next version of Zorin.
