I messed something up

Hey guys Ive been struggling with downloading Wine and now I have an all new problem. Here is what I get when type in
1. sudo apt update
or
try to get a repository for example.
2. sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ eoan main'
please help thanks

If you must have the latest version of WINE, then install Synaptic Package Manager from Software channel, then search for WINE - it should come back with version 4.0 for you. ;) :D

I had Wine problems too. Using PlayOnLinux resulted in the proper Wine files getting installed. Not sure if that helps address your issue.

Should be Bionic or Xenial main.
