rbrick49, could you please describe your symptoms?
When you say it is not working, can you clarify:
Is it connecting but disconnecting?
Not connecting, at all?
Have you configured your WiFi on the computer, but it will not connect? Is it currently unconfigured?
Are you getting any error messages?

I am assuming Zorin 15 Core, not Lite?
If Core, when you navigate to the App Menu, Settings (right hand side) and Open Settings, at the very Top on the left pane window, you should see "WiFi".
When you select that, does it show a list of connections to configure?

Do you have an exterior switch on your computer that switches off the Wifi? Another member recently had that one bite him. He had not noticed that switch had been touched since he did not do it intentionally.
If that switch is off, the wifi signal will not reach the OS to be seen.
Are you able to provide any screenshots of what you are seeing on screen?

no its working just fine on this computer on other operating systems I have installed it seems to me it could be a kernel problem, like I had when the motherboard was new no allowance for new wifi I need a newer kernel i think

I wouldn't think a newer kernel is needed. In fact, Zorin is running a newer kernel than I would go for. Which is probably why it cannot currently be upgraded as it is a very new kernel running.

It is also not typically a kernel issue for the wifi. Troubleshooting your issue really should begin with the WiFi, itself. Once that is satisfied, can work outward toward other possible causes.

With your purchase of Ultimate, you should have gotten Contact Information for Zorin Tech Support. Please use that contact info to see about a refund.
Connectivity problems are among the most frustrating because these days, it is all about connectivity. If you would like to continue troubleshooting, Please Supply information that those trying to help you can use.
I am not tech support, nor do I work for Zorin. I am just a forum user.
Another person may help more. But in the meantime, I would encourage you to try to resolve what is causing your WiFi to not function as you expect.
I looked over the specs in the O.P. and I do not see anything there that may cause an issue. Screenshots May Help as we could see whether options normally present are grayed out or if there is some other error. OR detailed descriptions of what it is, exactly, that you are seeing on your screen.

Starting here:
Network: Card-1: Intel Device 2723
IF: N/A state: N/A speed: N/A duplex: N/A mac: N/A
Card-2: Intel I211 Gigabit Network Connection driver: igb
IF: enp8s0 state: up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full

Perhaps I am wrong and it IS the Kernel. Rolling the Kernel Back instead of upgrading may be a better bet... But, Let's try a patch, first.
In terminal, can you enter:
Code:
sudo apt install build-essential dkms git

Code:
git clone https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/iwlwifi/backport-iwlwifi.git

Change directories to your downloaded file:
Code:
cd backport-iwlwifi

Get patch
Code:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sibblegp/AX200-Patch/master/dkms.patch

Code:
patch -p1 < dkms.patch

Code:
rm dkms.patch

Code:
cd ..

Code:
sudo mv backport-iwlwifi /usr/src

Elevate privileges to access Root:
Code:
sudo su

Code:
cd /usr/src

Code:
mv backport-iwlwifi/ backport iwlwifi-git

Code:
dkms add backport-iwlwifi/git

Code:
dkms build backport-iwlwifi/git

Code:
dkms install backport-iwlwifi/git

Code:
modprobe iwlwifi

Code:
exit

Then please reboot and check your wifi connectivity.

If that fails (Assuming no typoes made in the above commands), in terminal please run:
Code:
lspci -nnk | grep 0280 -A3

and
Code:
lspci -knn | grep Net -A3; rfkill list

and post your results, here.

It is true that it is usually not the kernel. However, I am glad your experiences were able to weigh in, even if my guesses were wrong. I may not always help with direct knowledge, but I may sometimes help by encouraging the other person to consider things and keep on trying.

I have not yet found a distro that works perfectly out of the box. I have had major troubles with some that most people swear by and no trouble at all with a few others said were awful.
Some distros work quite well in some aspects but fail in others while another distro excels on that issue but has issues elsewhere.

Personally, in my own experience, Zorin is one of the most well thought out structures I have tried. It works far more often than not and most of the big things work even if peripherals can give some trouble. And when you consider it is all running on hardware built for M.S. Windows without a whiff of thought toward Linux... I have tried many, many distros in an attempt to replace Zorin but I always end up back at Zorin. Even if I have to fix one thing or another, the performance it shows on a variety of my computers makes it top.

Just bear in mind you have answered part of the issue, a brand new board with new wifi chipset that was not built for Linux. Linux kernels need time to evolve. Zorin looks at producing an OS with a known level of stability which is what the majority of other users will be using. ;) :D
