Hi I have tried both 15/15.1 32 bit lite in Vbox.
Neither have a curser for the mouse, the mouse works just no curser.
This is in the live mode, I did not install.
64bit ver work fine.

You need to check that Mouse Capture is turned on in VBox.

Didn't know there was such a setting! Never looked for it or seen in Settings!
Wonder if its because I have the extension pack installed? ;)

OK,,,, I do not see "mouse Capture" setting.
I do have pointing device set to "PS/2 Mouse"
This is the most recent ver of Vbox on win10 with extension pack installed.

I'm dealing with Hectic work at the moment and I no longer even have Virtualbox installed so I cannot grab a screenshot at the moment. I only ever had it installed on Linux.
I recall having to tell it to capture my mouse and keyboard first, then it auto captured every time from that point forward.
You can release capture the mouse using Shortcut key with "right ctrl" key. Hit that key, then try Clicking within the VirtualBox window and see if it captures.
Going off memory, I recall having a lot of problems with VirtualBox until I installed Guest Additions. You have to mount it as .iso from VirtualBox within VirtualBox. I remember it was a real PITA trying to figure that one out... Now, the details of it are fogged. Swarf, Help?

OK I see what you are doing, If you have the extension pack you normally do not need to do that.
I rarely have to use mouse capture it just does not come up unless needed., but that is not the issue here. mouse works, just no curser.

Ah... You know, I have had that happen, too. Never on Zorin or MX, but on PuppyLinux, it always does that. Mouse works, no cursor AND the cursor position is way off. Like 1/8 of the screen off. I never solved that and made a pact with the Devil that I would never try using PuppyLinux on VirtualBox again. That was the only time it happened and only with that Distro.
It's a mystery to this day.

It's probably a Windows error! :lol:

Which version of VB are you using?

I tried doing some searching to see what I could find and stumbled across this:
https://superuser.com/questions/694155/ ... virtualbox

In my case, it worked by changing pointing device from 'PS/2 Mouse' to 'USB Tablet'.

While guest is not running, in VirtualBox
-> select the virtual-guest instance
-> click 'Settings'
-> select 'System' in left panel
-> go to 'Motherboard' tab and in pointing device, choose 'USB Tablet' instead of 'PS/2 Mouse'

That worked.
Odd, I wonder if it is an issue with VB or the 32bit Zorin?
Just thought I would point out potential issue.

It's a good point; 32 bit is most definitely on the way out, no matter how hard some protest it. Time marches on...

I think it is a VB issue - as the cursor works even though it is not tablet I leave setting as is. Must see if doing otherwise is different result! ;) :D
