Does anybody know if there's a timeframe for the 5.4 kernel to arrive in the Zorin repositories?

Or is it advisable to install it via some other way?

Once Zorin has tested it they will release it or include it in a new release - I don't know what is different about 15.1 r2 that came out on 20.12.2019:
