Dual GPU

I have the Asus U31JG having both Intel and Nvidia graphics (switchable in windoze). any idea how to either select a specific gpu or have the option to switch as and when required?

Have asked this question before on #ubuntu chat but no luck or any semblance of real assistance.

Any thoughts or idea would be helpful and interesting.
