OS only detect the drive I installed it on

I installed zorin os to a external hdd and the hardrive that contains windows is not recognized by zorin and I want to be able to boot to linux without having my usb in.

That looks like you have just effectively copied the iso to your external drive - you haven't installed Zorin at all. ;) :D

It brings me to "something else" on it's own and doesn't give me the other options.
And then doesn't allow me to install it alongside windows.
I want to be able to take the external hard drive out and zorin will continue to run

Like I stated previously, all you have on that drive is the iso of Zorin.

Never mind I just realized that the reason why I wasn't able to install it alongside Windows was because I forgot to configure my SATA settings
