PC won't lock after suspend !

I have zorin lite 15.1 on 3 laptops. (Thinkpad e490, Asus x555, Lenovo l340-17)
All with disk encryption enabled.

All of them have the same serious security issue:
After waking from suspend the pc either:
- wake normally, with user/password prompt (Good)
- wake with frozen image of how i left the desktop, no user/pw prompt. have to enter pw without any feedback. (Bad, but i can live with that)
- wake and ready to go, with no pw prompt whatsoever. completely breeched. (NO CAN DO - deal breaker !)

Any advice anyone?

In terminal, can you run:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /shutdown/LockScreen -s true

Code:
xfconf-query -c xfce4-power-manager -p /xfce4-power-manager/lock-screen-suspend-hibernate -s true


Check that lightlocker is set to autostart:
Menu> settings> Sessiona nd Startup>Application Autostart - Check on Light Locker
