Hello, would I need to know if zorin will work on a notebook / laptop with these specifications: 4gb ram, 32gb storage and an atom zx8300 processor? Could you help me, I would appreciate it a lot that you will do my first time using Linux.

Yes, it will work. I would recommend using Zorin Lite.

I would think it would run a bit slow - and you don't have enough space for /home. Then it will also depend what you want to use it for. If it's an MMe everything welded notebook I would trade up for a better machine with decent storage. The alternative would be to install '/' and get yourself an external drive for '/home'.
