Keyboard Layout

So I have been a long time windows user and I decided to make a change starting with zorin which I loved. However I encountered a small problem. I cannot change the keyboard and layout with shift+alt. Yes, I know that the shortcut for that is super+space but when I do that it opens the thing on the left which has the apps and some other stuff(forgive, I do not know the name of it, it's the thing you bring with super). I tried changing the shortcut in the settings, however it doesn't accept anything that doesn't start with super. Anyway you could help me? I don't mind if it starts with super or if it isn't shift+alt but I don't want the thing on the left to pop up every time I want to change language. Thank you for your time.

Are you using Zorin Core or Zorin Lite?

In Settings | Keyboard - go to where change keyboard layout is listed, double click on current shortcut and create your own new one:
