Trying to connect mobile to Zorin 15.2

Hi,

I have the Zorin App on my Samsung Note 8 but it says to check if it is on the same network

I know my normal Windows LAN (192.168.20.xx) but not sure about the Linux box. I can get to some of my Windows boxes through the Windows Network, giving the smb IP address of the Win box but not sure how to connect the phone.

In the Zorin Mobile settings it says the Note 8 is Disconnected but when I click it, I can't see where to connect it.

Any help please?

Thanks

oz

I have this happen sometimes. I reboot the phone, computer or network and then they see eachother.

I tried rebooting Zorin and phone but still no go.

Teamviewer works fine si I wonder why Zorin connect doesn't.

What should I check on both devices ?

Sorry Aravisian, I seem to be always throwing curve balls at you. !

Have you checked that Firewall is not blocking it?
Code:
sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/udp

Code:
sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/tcp

Good on Aravisian. That's what it was.

Connected now but haven't seen what it does yet.

Just saw 'no storage locations on the mobile'

Thanks

I have never seen that one; it may be that your mobile has low available storage. You might clean your cache on your phone.

I have updated the unofficial manual stating which port should be used and how to create correct firewall rule. ;) :D

Thank you. Mine is connecting now most of the time. Sometimes it says, This paired dev is not reachable. Make sure it is connected to your same network, then it will connect.

Still learning how to use it though.

It's working now. Get messages on my phone and on the box although still working out how to use correctly.
