I am fairly new to linux and like it - but today I have a 'Home' folder on my desktop that does not exist in terminal. It opens in GUI - and is the same as in my user folder. How do I get rid of it?? Thank you in advance.

Go to Menu | Settings | Appearance | Zorin Appearance then Desktop tab and untick the items you don't want to show.
