How to boot another system from USB? [solved]

Hey guys,

So I'm getting rid of my old laptop with ZorinOS. I'm giving it away and was asked to change the OS on it. So I'm trying to boot from USB as usual, but whatever option I select in the bios, it always loads up that Zorin screen:
1. Launch Zorin
2. Advanced Options
3. System Setup

So I cannot access the USB because I have no other option there but to launch Zorin...
How do I boot the from USB?

Which version of Zorin O.S. is on that machine?
-Have you tried all the USB ports?
-Have you checked the integrity of the Bootable media and ensured it is bootable?
-Are you hitting the manufacturers specified key to enter BIOS prior to moving on to the Grub?
On mine, it is F12 right at the motherboard Splashscreen. For some it could be F2 or F8 or F10 - you can check by manufacturer or many say at the bottom of the screen "Hit F-such n' such- to change boot order (or to enter boot menu)." (P.O.I., I know you did say "whatever option I select in BIOS" but I have to check, just to be sure. Always recheck your steps when something goes wrong, no matter how confident you are before checking.)
-Have you tried burning the new O.S. to dvd and booting from optical drive?
And finally...
-Have you tried convincing the new recipient of the machine that they want Zorin O.S. ? :D

The version is Zoring 15 bionic (x86-64).
Yeah, the problem is 100% not the bootable media or the usb port. Both were tested recently.
And yeah, I enter the BIOS, open the boot tab and prioritize the USB, then I press F10 to save+exit, and it reboots the computer and opens that Zorin screen. At which btw, if you select "System Setup" it also opens the BIOS, and after you exit the BIOS it'll reboot and bring you back to that screen. It's like there's no avoiding it.
I haven't tried burning to DVD, it's just not the most convenient option right now. Plus I don't think it's gonna make any difference. That screen will pop up regardless.
And no, unfortunately they're not interested in Zorin OS :/
