3 Mobile Broadband Installation

I am having lots of problems installing a Huawei dongle from 3.
Plugged it in hoping it would work as it did in Ubuntu and PCLinuxOS, but it doesn't.
The 3 software showed on the desktop, but when I click on it,
it opens the file folder on the dongle itself.
Wine doesn't want to know, neither does play on Linux.
I have setup my laptop to run only Zorin now and I can't get online
with it.
I do not have home broadband only mobile. So can't use wireless.
Not very user friendly is it.
I class myself as fairly competent when it comes to windows, but this
is trying my patience.

You have to left click on the wifi sign (one the panel bar) so as to open the wireless manager, from the list chose "edit connections", and then go to the "mobile broadband" tab and add it from there.
