Night Light Mode not working on secondary monitor

I've been having some trouble getting night light mode to work properly on my system. I have a dual monitor set up both plugged into a GeForce GT 710/PCIe/SSE2. when night light turns on only the primary screen goes into night light mode. I have to go into settings->devices->displays swap select apply and then hit revert on the "Do you want to keep these settings?" I have tried all 5 Nvidia drivers open source and proprietary to no avail. Anything I am missing here?
