My blu ray reader, and my dvd drive wont work since installing Zorin.
The OS can see them, they are listed. They are "Automounted".
The trays wont open for me to check if they operate after sticking a couple of disks in.
Your help would be appreciated as this is only my second attempt on Linux.

What brand of blue-ray and dvd-rw? Did you check for firmware updates when using Windows? ;) :D

I am "using" an Asus BW-16D1HT CD/DVD/ Blu-Ray Drive,
and an Optiarc DVD RW AD-5240S
Both were fine under Win 10, until that went crazy on me.Never felt the need to update firmwares.
Asus website says no need for firmware upgrades for this type of device as most O.S. recognise standard plug and play.
Cant find any upgrade firmware for the OPTIARC EITHER.

Strange, I have the exact same model as you:

No issues in this OS or Zorin!
