I would like to use my Rewriteable DVD +RW on a project.
However, I placed a Mandriva image on the DVD some time ago, which seems to have made the DVD read only - I can't reformat it using discs.
How do I get the DVD to be rewriteable again, please?

What brand of DVD +RW and when you burned Mandrake were you using Windows burner? What brand and model of Burner? Have you ever used one of these?

Thanks Swarf,
The project I was going to reuse the DVD-RW on has ground to a screaming halt - so no need to get this working. It seemed that putting a .iso onto it turned it into a read only DVD.
I always thought that they were too good to be true - perhaps that's why they never took over from DVDs

I think it is down to what you did when you first burned - there is an option I seem to remember that offers you what you what to do when you burn - if you had 'formatted' the DVD-RW first before burning the .iso it might have been a different ending!
