Or some sites offer it like Vimeo but obviously only for vimeo videos.

Try youtube-dlg. youtube-dl is the terminal (CLI) version and youtube-dlg is the GUI (graphical) version. Not on Zorin OS right now but it should be in the software center.

I've had good success with Extreme Download Manager but you won't find it in the repository. Download package from the official site or maybe Sourceforge.

Looks like only the CLI version (youtube-dl) is in software, the GUI you can search for (youtube-dlg) or try github here https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/
I've been using it for years, you can even download whole youtube channels with it.
