[RESOLVED] Kazam screencaster - I've managed to mess it up!

Hi swarf,

run:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

in a terminal. This will repair the broken packages if using the repair broken packages in the Synaptic menu doesn't work!!.

install your missing dependencies first via:

http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages

Hi Swarf,

from what I am reading there, you need to install whatever package it tells you it needs and lock it down so it cannot update!!. (In this case, install python (>= 2.6.6-2ubuntu2~) and then "Lock Version" in Synaptic)
