Changing keyboard

Greetings.
I just installed Zorin O/S.
My lap top has a fault that the keyboard CTRL keys don't work.
When I uses win 10 , I used "Auto Key " to change the "Win" key to a CTRL key,
Can I do something similar on Zorin?

Hi, There is 'Keyboard' in Menu | Settings | Devices | Keyboard - you can add key combinations but not sure how well that will work.

I have installed"Autokey" but I am having trouble getting the right code to change the function of the win or super button to a CTRL function.
Can any one help me by supplying the code.

In order to re-map the Ctrl key to use the Windows/Super key, please try following these steps:

1. Open the Text Editor by opening the Zorin menu > Accessories > Text Editor

2. Add the following 2 lines to the new blank text file:
remove mod4 = Super_L Super_R
add control = Super_L Super_R

3. Click the "Save" button and save the file in the root of your home folder (amongst the "Downloads", "Music" etc. folders) as the following file name: .xmodmaprc

4. Open the Zorin menu > System Tools > Startup Applications

5. Click the "Add" button and enter the following text into the "Command" text field: xmodmap ~/.xmodmaprc

6. Log out and log back into your user account to apply the changes
