OS6 ubuntu 11.10

Is ubuntu 11.10 less crash prone than 11.04? My Acer netbook will only run reliably on 10.10 OS4. I tried everything. I would like to put a lite os on it.
Also, is gnome 3 better? The screensaver quit after updates on my desktop OS5 and 5.2. The gnomenu gets buggy over time.

Thanks, you helped me when I was doing the original install. 3.2 LTS did not work on my aspire one 522. OS4-32 that I had from an old install is the only thing that worked. I wonder if it will become unsupported.

Hi,

you can get the Lite version from here:

http://zorin-os.com/releasecandidate.html

(It says that it is version "5"; but it really is version "6".)

As Swarfendor has pointed out, it is a test version "but it works", I tried it out myself, you will have to install a number of prog after install, it worked out of the box for me!!. It does not have a "Control Center" (it is not ready yet!) installed; so take things slowly with it!!.

It is based on Lubuntu :D
