I am trying to install DSL in the hard drive of a very old laptop (UMAX 347T - 475Mhz, 6GB capacity, 60mb ram).

This guide unfortunately is not very helpful as I don't know how to perform step 2! :?

Can anyone help? Thanx!

Thanx Swarf.

Actually, after reading too many guides and experimenting, I managed to install DSL on the laptop and is running fine. :!:
It uses only about 15-20mb of ram (of the total 64mb). Ofcourse I can only use it for exhibition purposes in a museum  (i.e. I cannot even view a video in youtube etc), but I was really glad that I made it! :D This laptop has sentimental value for me as it was the one I was using during my university years to prepare my dissertation. (and no, I am not old  )

I will take a look at your other suggestions but as you said, my main concern is to make it work on under 64mb of ram...

Thanx wolfman. I tried but it doesn't even load the live CD. I think puppy need at least 128mb of ram.
