VMWARE Workstation

I have just discovered Zorin OS.

However as with all variants there are issues.

VMware installs but unable to install modules and run, but works in Ubuntu 11.04.

Thanks, I used Virtual Box in the past with mixed results. I have found that vmware player and vmware workstation are very quick and runs windows well, all active x works, everything.

I use it on my Ubuntu machines, with no issue, but strangely does not work on Zorin. Even works on LinuxMint...

Any ideas would be appreciated...

I was running vmware on ubuntu 10.10 and on another laptop running 11.04. I use windows in the virtual environment to test software in work.

However i spoke to vmware guys and downloaded the latest vmware version:VMware-Workstation-Full-7.1.4-385536.i386.bundle

this seems to have worked.

I have had a few strange issues with applets and other things, only in the latest version based on 11.04. I think the issues are not the mods done by the Zorin guts but issues with ubuntu 11.04.

But the new Ubuntu GUI is not for existing users, more set to new users. So I think I will stick with Zorin...
