(if it is a daft question i am sorry but we all gotta learn :D )

Thanks in advance

I find it rather difficult that you are getting pop-ups for updating to the next ubuntu release.
The only updates that you should be getting are the normal updates of the distro and the kernel (up to 2.6.38-14).

Is Zorin your only OS, or have you installed it in parallel with ubuntu...?

Hi,

open your software sources and look at "Updates" > then bottom right, you can disable that feature!!. You should not use it to update Zorin!!. (The pic is from Ubuntu 12.04 Precise btw; but the principal is the same!)

Good day WM! Ozzie says he is using Zorin only for two days. The default option in zorin updates is "never" (when it comes to updates of new releases).

So, supposing that he has not changed anything in the update manager, why is he getting updates for ubuntu releases...?

Yes ignore it.
An not just ignore it but also open the update manager>settings and set to "never" the "release upgrade" option as wolfman says.

Just to reply to my question, have you altered any settings in the update manager?
