Laptop battery tips!

I do this constantly: When I am watching videos or doing something that can drain my laptop's battery really fast, i take out the batery and leave the laptop connected. Is this good or bad? and how about the site for laptop battery ?

As I use my laptop for work and I need it to be switched on continuously throughout the day, I have removed the battery and I leave it only in A/C power.
I only plug the battery when I take him out with me, sometimes during the weekend or during holidays.

My opinion is that if you have the laptop in A/C power continuously with the battery plugged in, you ruin the battery and you minimize her life cycle. It's better to take the battery out and plug it in only when necessary.

You should completely deplete the battery before removing it, if you know you are going to take it with you, recharge it in plenty of time, don't remove a fully or half charged battery before running it down first!!.

Hi Y'all
When I first got this Laptop I was very careful with the battery fully discharging and charging about once a month as recommended by manufacturer, it lasted until the warranty ran out, one year,
After replacing the battery from here --- http://www.batteries-man.co.uk/index.php --- I now just forget about it and it's been so far so good for about two years now. :D :D
But I never run without the battery in because I have on a few occasions accidentally tripped over the power cable and pulled it out.

It's not necessarily bad for the computer to do this. It makes your laptop vulnerable to power interruptions and irregularities, just like a regular desktop computer. I typically use my notebook computer at work without the battery, in order to preserve the battery. This has worked OK for me.

I have read that many of the rituals we use for batteries are largely unnecessary, now that the batteries use lithium chemistries instead of NiCd or NiMH.

So, bearing in mind that you lose the "uninterruptible power" advantage that comes with using a battery, it's probably not a problem to leave the battery disconnected.
