Anyone wishing to install an Anti Virus prog can use the Linux version of Bitdefender (freeware):
http://download.bitdefender.com/repos/#You can scan individual files at will; as it is an "on demand" scanner only!!.

Hi swarfendor437,
my thought was a general scan of files that people might want to swap between Linux and Windows, this is not to say that they shouldn't rely on the fact that Linux is relatively secure as far as viruses are concerned. It is wise (in my opinion) to have a virus scanner installed just in case!!.
