Updating LibreOffice

I've recently installed ZorinOS 5.2 Core 32-bit and ran all the updates. I noticed the LibreOffice was version 3.3.4 which is ancient. I would like to run 3.5.4. What is the recommended procedure to update it? Can I simply download and install the .deb's direct from LibreOffice.org? Should I add a different software repository? Do I need to remove the current version, or will the new version replace the old one? Is there some reason why a newer version is not showing up in the default repositories?

Hi,

firstly check this how-to on software sources, then do what it suggests:

You should click on the package "libreoffice" in Synaptic for the full package install!!.

Update your sources list before you try !!.
