[SOLVED] Authentication failed!

I have recently installed Zorin 6 next to a Windows 7 Operating system.. Everything worked fine, until I tried to remove my password so I didn't have to have a password everytime I log.. However, after I try to install any other programs (i.e. Skype or Pidgin) it has me put in an authentication code. I try to put in my old password in and it no longer works. Aside from reinstalling Zorin, how do I fix this? I can't even create a new password to put in because I have to unlock it first, with an authentication code that no longer works. Is there a default authentication code?

Thanks

Thanks alot madvinegar! I thought I was doomed for sure! I'm a complete newb when it comes to any type of Linux and was told to get Linux Mint, but I seen this one and really loved how it looked.

(not to mention the help from the community is so much better than waiting 3 hours to talk to someone from microsoft ;) )

Thanks again!
