[SOLVED] Issues With Chrome

hack13

Sun Jul 08, 2012 3:15:27 pm

I have searched the internet for answers and it seems it is really hard to narrow it down with words alone, so I know I can't be the only one with this issue. have attached some pictures to help with the understanding.

Sites that use javascript to load elements such as MyBB software for login, or youtube(best example) messes up the web page when clicking the more videos button or more information button. This seems to happen A LOT and it is really bothering me. I do not see this issue on FireFox but I kinda need chrome for certain extensions so I thought I would ask and see if someone else knows how to fix this.

Thank in advance!

No it is not a java issue, I am saying chrome screws up on sites that use JAVASCRIPT not JAVA and results in the above images. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix chrome?

I think that may be an issue with your GPU drivers.
What is your GPU? Could you please post the outcome of
Code:
lspci

In additional drivers is there any recomended driver to be enabled?

As I see you have an ATI card.

Open terminal and write
Code:
jockey-gtk

And most probably there will be recomended drivers to be enabled. Choose the driver that does not say anything about updates. Click to enable it, reboot and see if things look better.

The one without the post-fix updates is the one I installed in the beginning, so I techincally already have that one selected.

Have you tried then the "open" drivers? I mean, not enabling any recomended driver and let it use the open drivers.

Hi,

if you recently updated the kernel, you might want to re-install the graphic card drivers and see if this helps!!.

Have you fully updated your system:

So I reinstalled the drivers and that didn't help. I did post for help on another site, and someone suggested I try Chromium and not Chrome. Well that fixed my issue, Chromium seems to be working amazing.

And it's open source too!
