Hi all,

I am a total newbie to zorin, but I have had a play with Mint on a couple of occasions. I have Zorin installed on my laptop which has a HDMI out socket on it. When using windblows I can connect a HDMI lead from the laptop to my TV and watch what ever is on my laptop through the TV. When I plug the HDMI lead in nothing happens... Zorin (or Mint for that matter) doesn't seem to detect it. Does anyone have any ideas how to get the socket to work please?

thanks in advance

Hi,

take a look in system settings, there is a monitor applet, try adding a monitor (TV). Have you installed the graphics card drivers?, this is also in system settings under "Additional Drivers".

Make sure your system is up-to-date:

For Nvidia drivers also look here:
