(SOLVED)Wireless Printer

I have a Canon printer MP495, It works with Zorin 6 with a direct connection (wired), but not wireless.
This same printer worked fine wireless with Ubuntu 12.04

The Canon site says that it is not compatible. Yet, it worked with Ubuntu 12.04.
I tried loading the software from disc that came with printer, but it doesn't work.
WINE said that it was not compatable.

Any ideas?

Thanks Wolfman,
I tried the link you provided to connect my wireless printer...no go.
Did I mention that I'm new to this?
Anyway, looks like HP printers work pretty well out of the box,
so I'll picl one up later.

Hi Jesse,

I have an HP printer and can only say that the support for Linux is very good indeed!!. I don't use it in Wifi mode though, I have never bothered to try it out!!.

Can you mark this as solved??.
