How does one take a screen shot using which app like in windows use snipping tool or Snagit?

Hi,

install "Shutter" which is the best screenshot app for Linux imp.

Haven't used any of those since
...when i hit the 'print screen' key on the keyboard, i get a screen shot sent to the home folder.

Shutter is good if you want to take a screenshot of an individual window or section of screen!!.

Wolfman how do I install shutter? screen shot is ok though....

Hi Chris,

in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install shutter

or you might want to do it via Synaptic, when you do, also right click on the package and install the recommended and suggested packages which will enhance the app somewhat!!.
