[SOLVED] Synaptic settings not taking

Hi everybody,

whislt working my way through THIS post I got to this part

None of the tickboxes are taking on this menu tab. If I tick a box it immediately unticks itself.

What have I done now :oops:

Hi,

you haven't done anything, in the previous window you will see that system updates are already listed and that is why the boxes won't tick!!!.
