Today, I started Update Manager. There was list of files to be updated. No any file includes "KDE" in its name. I watched download progres and noticed there was a lots of of kde-files (various kdelibs) downloading. After updating, I started Synaptic package manager and noticed there are:
kdelibs5-plugins
libkdewebkit
kdelibs-bin
kdelibs5-data
language-pack-kde-zh-hans (kde translation updates for language simplified chinsese ) (??????????)
libkdesu5
...
and 20-30 more kdefiles INSTALLED, and I know , before this update they were NOT installed.
Can someone explain to me what is this all about, please?

EDIT: It is Zorin OS 6 core 64 bit

Hi,

it is nothing to worry about, there are a few apps installed that run off of KDE so all it is doing is adding further support to those apps!!. Gnome is basically still the main DE that is in use assuming you are using the Gnome 2 DE. The Windows look requires KDE support.

Regards Wolfman :D
