Hi Chris2030,

Wine is a utility which sets up a virtual Windows environment. When you configure it, and it usually just requires you to click ok for a XP environment, it sets up a virtual C drive, a bunch of lib files, etc. It's used to run Windows apps in Linux. After you configure Wine, download your windows app, right-click on the .exe and choose "run with Wine". The installer will run just like in Windows. WineHQ has a big database of windows apps that have been run with Wine.
