Hi! I showed Zorin 6 to my dad. He loved it, now has it installed and is a big Zorin fan. However, in Ubuntu he would create a launcher to his favorite websites by right-clicking the Desktop>Create Launcher and pasting in the address. The option is not there in Zorin. I'm a certified computer tech and I can't find it, not even anywhere else. Is it even possible or am I missing something? My dad keeps asking about it because this is the way he gets to his sites.

Zorin is absolutely awesome, just need some help figuring this out. Thanks!

Hi,

you can try pasting the following command ina terminal and create a launcher that way, I don't know of any other other:

gnome-desktop-item-edit ~/Desktop/ --create-new

You must point the launcher to the actual address I assume, I have never done it, I simply use bookmarks in FireFox!!.

There is a very easy way. If you have google chrome find the webpage you like and add it to your bookmarks bar.
Then just drag n drop it onto your desktop. A launcher is created automatically.

Wow! I didn't expect so many replies! Thanks everyone!

Enabling the script in Ubuntu Tweak is what did it. Thanks!
