[SOLVED] Intro and install Q

Hope this is a proper intro.

I'm a lifetime Windows user impressed with the speed of Zorin when I installed it on my "crash dummy" desktop.

That desktop is definitely less capable (4GB RAM, 32-bit, 1.86GHz, hard drive at 5400 RPM) than my notebook (8GB, 64-bit, 2.2GHz, SSD, turned-up Win 7)

Reason I have problems installing on my notebook is I have not one but two versions on Windows (Win 7, boots up on Win 8 RP beta)...I keep getting messages some of my partitions are too small installing the Zorin 6 Core version.

Any suggestions on how to arrange my partitions on my next try?

In advance, thank you.

P.S. I'm happy the default browser is Google Chrome.

Hi,

a little more info about the size of your drive and what partitions you already have would help, can you provide a screenshot of a partition manager??.

You can take a look here:

Hi,

This past weekend I finally installed the 64-bit Ultimate on my desktop...had to work a little bit to allocate space. That and while I scratched Windows 8 Release Preview, it's boot was still there.

Still learning and will have questions later.
