Zorin does not wake up from sleep mode.

Hi

I noticed this issue after i shut the lid of my laptop for about 2 hours and when i open it back again and press the power button once to wake up the machine, it does not wake up. I get a black screen with my wallpaper and nothing else no login window or anything. I then have to hard reboot the laptop.
I have dual boot OS with Win7 on the other partition which works fine and wakes up after sleep mode or when i open the lid.

Any idea what could be wrong here?

I am not experiencing such a problem in two zorin laptops that I have.

Have you fully updated your system?

Better yet, do the following:
plug an ethernet cable to get internet (not wifi)
reboot
from the grub menu choose recovery mode (usually 2nd option)
from the new menu choose "dpkg" and let it run.

This will update/upgrade your system and fix broken packages (if any).

Then try again.

I have the exact problem. I'm also doing a dual boot with win 7 on my laptop. I'll try the above suggestion and see what happens.
