[SOLVED] External Display Problem

hey, i have a problem when i connect external monitor on my laptop. My laptop is an
aspire 5742-6674 (model) and i used zorin 6 64 bit. My external display is a samsung tv LN-T1953H.

When i connect a external display (TV) the laptop display goes black and not responding. I have the same problem in Ubuntu and Kubuntu. Only work fine on Windows and Fedora (Linux).

Sorry for my English, i speak Spanish.

Hi.
Have you gone to system>displays and click on "detect display"?

Also try login out (ctrl+alt+del) and login again and see if it works.


Also, please update your system to the latest kernel.

Thanks, I update my Zorin OS, at the moment work fine, with monitor and without monitor. :D :D :D
