hi, thanks for reply...

i've installed sox and paman by synaptic, but no change...
i tried to update system with update manger (GUI) and nothing...
after distro upgrade to 12.04 (again by GUI) the volume slider finally works.... but the OS is began UBUNTU 12.04 with an updated LXDE... no more Zorin
and now i've reinstalled Zorin and updated, but not upgraded, the problem still exists... so i'm to start point again.
thanks for patience and scuse my poor english... folks

Before updating/upgrading open update manager > settings > updates > and set to "never" the field that says "notify me of a new ubuntu version". Save and exit.

Then open terminal and update i.e.
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
