Sort of but those commands didn't make it happen.
I did as sugested when the 1st command was not accepted.

I have managed to get the web browser & home page assigned to the appropriate hot keys, in system settings.
Is there some way to set it up in there.

When I was trying out all the various distros, I recall one of them opened the GnoMenu with the win key.

Thank you, have done that.
Have now got the Super+L key showing as a custom shortcut for GnoMenu
So what is the trick to actually get it to work?
