Hi there,

Which app does one use to capture screen, like Snagit in windows?

Hi Chris2030. If you are talking about video capture, I use recordmydesktop. It's in synaptic. If you install that, also install gtk-recordmydesktop, which is the GUI for it.

Search for Shutter in the software center. It's probably the closest to SnagIt.

The program that ships with Premium is "Screenshot". I've used it to take a screenshot of my desktop--works well and is very simple.

Installed shutter.....Wolfman suggested it.

Screenshot is simple shutter is like Snagit, but capture in png format.

Hi Swarf,

if you open: Shutter > Edit > Preferences Main > Image Format you can change the file format and the compression it saves the pics!!.

Formats are:

BMP
PNG
JPG
