Hi there,

Which is the most recommended on demand anti virus for Zorin?

Preferably one that is free & not a hogger.

Is Avast for Linux on demand & how does one download it?

Thanks.

ClamTk works great for me. It doesn't actively scan in the background; you have to perform a scan. Fortunately, I've never had a virus on a Linux (or unix) system.

Also search the Zorin "How to" thread. Wolfman posted instructions there on how to install Bitdefender for free on your Linux system.

Click on the download button and selecet the deb package.
After it is downloaded, just double click it, the software center will open and you can click on "install" to install it.

I have not used avast before. Since it is a 3rd party software (and not a canonical or canonical partner software) is up to you to take the risk to install it or not.

As I told you, if you feel safe installing AVAST, click on ignore and proceed at your own risk. You get this message because avast is not a recognised partner of canonical.
